Much like your family you do not get to choose the name with which you are born. Leaving that weighty responsibility to your parents, and from our days dilly dallying on the playground we all know what happens to the kid whose parents made some questionable decisions in the naming department. But with the rise in pupper pawrenthood around the world and its effect on declining hooman baby rates some of these horrendous naming choices have made their way into the doggo world.

No longer are the classic 'dog' names like Spike, Rover, Luna and Max. even the newer names like Milo are becoming basic and commonplace amongst the newer generation of dog pawrents. Which leads us to why we made this list. After taking in a cute collection of puppers with unique names we began wondering how on earth some of the doggos would even be able to show their faces at the dog park. Sure, amongst pawrents it is incredibly cute to name your dog children after old men of the middle ages or your favorite 80s icon. But we cannot imagine that the same can be said for our poor puppers.

So we hope that this cringey collection of dog names will give you a good giggle, as well as a thorough look in the mirror to ask yourself if the name you have given to your dog child or your future dog child is going to help them or hinder them when it comes time to play with their pupper pals. These names seem to be getting more and more unhinged, as though pawrents are going for them on purpose. Trying to find the strangest, most peculiar and perplexing names for a dog you can find. A potentially useful strategy while at the dog park on the side of the pawernt. After all, you do not want to call for your dog only to have the other ten doggos in the park called ‘Milo’ come up to you. But still, it cannot be easy for these puppers to live down their cringey names.
